Within the framework of the YÖK  (Council of Higher Education - CoHE) International Fellowship Program for International Scientists, as outlined in Article 4, paragraph 4 of the Procedures and Principles Regarding the Domestic and International Academic Staff and Researcher Support Programs, eligible candidates for this program include foreign students who are currently pursuing their PhD studies in the fields of Ottoman History and General Turkish History at higher education institutions abroad, as well as foreign researchers who have completed their PhD within the past two years. Successful applicants will be granted a monthly research scholarship of 20,000 TL for a duration of one or two semesters.

The application requirements for bringing foreign doctoral students or postdoctoral researchers to Turkey in order to conduct research at a higher education institution in the country under the YÖK International Fellowship Program are as follows:

1. Applicants must be foreign nationals, excluding individuals who hold Turkish citizenship as one of their dual nationalities or those who have lost their Turkish citizenship for any reason.
2. Applicants should be at the doctoral thesis stage in the fields of Ottoman History, General Turkish History, Turkology, Turkish Language and Literature, or Turkish Culture at one of the universities ranked within the top 700 in the global university rankings conducted by University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP), Times Higher Education (THE), Academic Ranking of World Universities (Shanghai), and World University Rankings (QS) over the past three years.
3. Applicants must have received acceptance from a Turkish university designated by the Council of Higher Education to pursue their studies for a period of one or two semesters.
